CONTEST...CANCELEDYes, I'm sorry but I have to cancel this contest. I hate to do it-I really do...but if I didn't this contest wouldn't end. I had a lot of contestants and I hate letting all of you down. I know I warned everyone recently that if I didn't have enough contestants I would have to close the contest.
That was quickly solved...but I'm now stuck with another problem: My Judges aren't getting back to me with their scores about your portfolios. Without those scores everyone's only gotten scores in the the teens or twenties since :iconchainedtoinsainity: is the only Judge I've heard from. Plus, when I asked if they could contribute anything to this contest-they didn't say anything! They're obviously not checking back on this contestant list which I didn't HAVE to make in the first place and they're not sending in scores.
The judges are the reason I have to cancel. Obviously, I chose the wrong people to be judges.
BTW the REASON the deadline was October 20th was because that's my birthday!

I've been encouraged to make this a news article, so I'm giving in

This form has taken off since I introduced it to dA, at least among my watchers. I've seen enough creativity come out of it to feel like a contest has the ability to produce some excellent pieces. The form is flexible enough to allow room for lots of interpretation, but rigid enough to still provide a bit of structure. I've never found an easier form to write in - no syllable counting, no rhyme schemes, no nitpicky details to fuss over (unless you want to!). So here it is:
Line 1 - Your color.
Lines 2, 3, 4 - things your color looks like.
Lines 5, 6, 7 - things your color sounds like.
Lines 8, 9, 10 - things your color tastes like.
Lines 11, 12, 13 - things your color feels like.
Line 14 - sum it all up.

The Theme:
the apocalypse. however you see it. zombie, nuclear, Ragnarok, Rapture, asteroid, whatever comes to your mind when you think Apocalypse. whether you write about how it all ends, what it's like being there, or just plain trying to survive it, I want to see how creative you can get!

Criteria:
you don't have to be a member of the group, but you might want to be so that you can keep up with updates and changes. Your entry must fall under the poetry category(this is a poetry group) I will be pretty lenient though. The poem can be part of a picture or accompanied by a picture, but the poem has to be the main focus. your poem can be a short like a haiku or really long

_{What honestly humbles me the most when it comes to dA, is that even when I am doing absolutely nothing, and seldom comment on your stuff lately (It's not due to me being uninterested, I just have become super busy lately, and I need to adjust my classwork/dA work) I still average at least 50 pageviews a day. I think that is lovely. While I don't look at pageviews when it comes to popularity, it's nice that my inactivity has made it so I am not forgotten.

So to show my appreciation, I would really like to kick my first year off on dA with a BANG. And that is with what? Making my own contest, with what as a grand prize? A One-Year Premium Membership
